We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team within Simple Trade, part of the Consumer Product Group. Simple Trade owns Coinbase's core retail trading experience — and we're at an exciting inflection point, expanding from crypto into equities. You'll build and lead an engineering team shipping cross-asset trading systems, unified account infrastructure, and new regulatory integrations — greenfield work on top of Coinbase's scale. This is a rare opportunity to define core trading infrastructure from the ground up while delivering products that handle real money at low latency for millions of users. Ownership & impact In this role, you will: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team , guiding the development of features, services, and infrastructure across web and mobile that power Coinbase's retail trading experience. Own the technical roadmap for your team's area, driving execution on cross-asset trading systems (crypto and equities), unified account infrastructure, and regulatory integrations — translating product vision into technical delivery. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and senior leadership to ensure alignment between business goals and engineering priorities, and to drive clarity on the path forward in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
